Position Summary

Med School Insiders is looking for a Content Writer who is an engaging storyteller with prior experience writing educational content. Subject matter will primarily focus on premed, undergrad, and medical school content, including the application process, studying tips, MCAT and USMLE prep, etc. Our signature style cuts out the fluff and focuses on concise, high-value information explained in an organized and easy-to-understand manner.

The company’s needs for content writing, research, and subject expert outreach will primarily focus on blog posts but may also include YouTube video scripts, lead generation resources, and course modules.

You will be working under our Director of Content, researching, writing, and revising blog posts that are clear, compelling, accurate, and engaging. You should be able to juggle multiple ongoing projects at once, meet deadlines, research a variety of topics, and have a keen eye for accuracy and thoroughness.

The position is remote, and occasional meetings (maximum of 1 or 2 hours per week) will occur during Pacific Time Zone business hours. Work and communication will primarily be asynchronous.

Your Roles and Responsibilities

• Research, write, and revise long-form content pieces in the form of blogs, video scripts, lead generation resources, or course modules.
• Find and connect with subject matter experts when they are required for blogs or scripts.
• Update existing blog posts and imagery in WordPress.
• Assist the Director of Content in content production and organization. (experience with Notion is an asset).
