How to Incorporate the UWorld Question Bank

This resource is available to help you organize your studies if you have decided to use UWorld as an additional source of practice questions. While the topic overlap between the science modules and UWorld subject isn’t perfect (i.e. you will see questions on topics you won’t see until later modules), they are quite close and you will benefit greatly from incorporating it into your preparation.

Suggestions for use:

  1. Reinforce your current learning. Select questions from topics that line up with the content in your current science module (see the table below). This additional practice will help you prepare for the End of Module questions and will give you extra practice afterward to reinforce your understanding. You can either take all the questions in these topic areas at this time or save some for later during your dedicated 4-week testing period.
  2. Engage in spaced repetition. Roughly 3-6 weeks after you complete a science module, select questions from topics that line up with the content from the previous module (Ex. If you took the End of Module questions from Module 3 four weeks ago, you would select questions from topics in Module 3). This use of spaced repetition will yield great results and is our personal recommendation. Don’t worry about whether 3, 4, 5, or 6 weeks is more optimal – the reason we suggest this timeframe is that it will allow you to complete all the questions from the question bank before your test date. The important thing is that you get repetition and additional exposure. Do what works for your schedule.
    1. Ideally, a mix of the two approaches will yield the most significant results but this will take organization and planning on your part.
  3. Strive to be above 75% on these questions (averaged over a period of time, don’t worry about one passage) if you’re shooting for ~510, 80% for ~ 515 (80%), or 85% for 520+.
